Tips for controlling breakouts!

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I am talking about what I do when I see or feel a nasty breakout begin to bubble up. I’ve gotten a few products together to form a team that will always stop my planet zit in its tracks!

The first thing I go for when I feel a breakout begin is to put makeup on that area at the very end of my makeup routine. This helps me to not spread that bacteria from the effected area out anywhere else on my face.

Next, I will wash my face using Garnier’s SkinActive Clean+Pore Purifying 2-in-1 Clay Cleanser….what a name. This product smells manly and clean and I am all about that. This is for oily skin so if you have more of a normal skin,  try using the Invigorating Daily Scrub for Normal skin. Back to the Clay Cleanser. This removes all the dirt and oil from my face and leaves it feeling soft and polished.claybreak.jpg

To wash my face, I love using my Vanity Planet spin for perfect skin facial brush. I talk about this thing way to much. When I don’t use this, I can tell my face isn’t as clean. This brush makes me feel so confident that any bacteria from the affected area will be treated and clean. vpbreakbrush.jpg

The next thing I do is something I swear by. I’ve made a post about this product before and it is the Indian Healing Clay Mask. This product is in powder form. You add equal parts of apple cider vinegar (or water if you have sensitive skin) and of the Clay powder. I love using this mask about once a week to give my face a super deep clean. For days when I have a breakout the size of Jupiter forming, I take a q-tip, dip it in apple cider vinegar and then into the powder and dot it on any problem areas. I cannot tell you how many times I have woken up and it has vanished that soon to be zit. Go back a bit to read more about this facial product. clayvine.jpg

Another easy thing you can do is make sure your pillow cases are nice and clean. I always put my hair in a pony tail to keep the oils from getting into my pillow. Another thing is I try and sleep on my back to prevent myself from getting unecessary oils into my pores, thus causing breakouts.

Washing your makeup brushes on the regular is pretty obvious but why not include it. It is important thing to keep those breakouts at bay. After you get rid of that breakout, make sure to wash your brushes to make sure you don’t cause another one from forming.

And of course, do not sleep with your makeup on. You need your skin to get a good nights rest too! And drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated!
What do you do to control those breakouts?
