Hello. I hope you are well. I have been gathering a few things and I wanted to talk to you about them all. This is new in, home decor, coffee accessories, plants, etc. So let’s get into it.
I love having coffee or a latte from Dunkin Donuts because it is perfect and frothy. However, at home, my coffee never seems to taste how it does at a coffee place. Until I saw that milk frothers existed. I jumped at the chance to get myself one and am LOVING it. It is so easy to use and easy to clean. You can use it for cold and hot drinks. It is the Matcha DNA Milk Frother from Amazon. My coffee now taste like it’s from a cafe, everyday single morning.
Next is my little buddha from Ross. I have been becoming more aware of living more mindful and I wanted to bring some decor in to help remind me to stay that way. I love having this little Buddha man on my table because I feel a bit more at peace when I see him.
Some little plants I’ve gotten recently are this little cactus. It has grown alot since I got it but I love the small size of this plant. It sits on my side shelf on my bed. So does this little cactus sitting on my side table. These desert plants are quite durable since they don’t need nearly as much water as my other house plants.
Some coffee table books are this one from Burke’s Outlet. Is is a book about Palmistry, Numerology, etc. I love reading about these things. I have always been fascinated with this. So having this coffee table book is perfect.

Hello! I hope you are well. What is your favorite step in your skincare routine? Face masks are something I always love doing. I instantly feel like I am fully relaxing when I have taken all my makeup off, am in the comfiest of clothes and am sitting on my couch watching Chelsea on a Friday night. I tend to use the same two but I love incorporating a few others into my facial mask family. Let’s talk about them!
The first is one I use about 3 times a week. However, one of those time is as a full facial mask. The other times I use them are for spot treatment. Indian Healing Clay Mask is 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay. I talk about this mask way too much but since I’ve now made a post all about masks, I think I can lay it to rest and try not to mention it anymore. This mask is it in powder form that will be activated with either apple cider vinegar or water if you have sensitive skin. This facial mask is the most effective one I have ever used. I feel is get deep into my pores and remove all the dirt and oil that has built up throughout the day. It will bubble a bit but that just means it’s working away! I loved removing the mask and seeing that my face is a bit rosy. That is because it has pumped blood to my face. This will go away after about 5 minutes. What is left is super clean and plump skin.
Sleeping masks are such heaven. I know it’s working away at giving me a boost of hydration. This one from Freeman Beauty is their Beauty Infusion Brightening Overnight Mask with Hibiscus and Vitamin C. This was a bit of an iffy product for me at first. The first time I used this, my skin felt like it was on fire. I stopped using it because I thought my face was too sensitive for it, but I noticed it only felt that way when I exfoliated my skin. So when I use this mask, I skip the exfoliation. It has a lovely floral scent and a gel cream consistency.
Peel-Off masks are such a favorite of mine. This one from Soo Ae is a Purifying Brightening Peeling mask. I love a good peel off mask. It removes dead skin, leaving a smooth, hydrated canvas and peeling it off is oddly satisfying. (Side note: recently used this and it is not a peel off mask. It is just an exfoliating peeling gel. My bad. Still a good product though!)
I have been on the hunt for a bubble mask that I can simply get one use out of it. These packets from Soo Ae are amazing because they come in so many types of masks and are only 2.50 at Walmart. This one if their Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask. Like the description for these say, “it is like giving your face a bubble bath!” I have yet to use them but will get back to you as soon as I do to review this mask.
Face masks are the highlight of my skincare time. It’s always fun for me to have a green face and have my boyfriend look at me like I am the Lockeness Monster and for my pups to sniff my face and wonder what happened to their mom. I love that my face is being taken care of while I make food, paint my nails or while I watch Netflix! I can’t get enough face masks. I have yet to try any paper masks, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!

Hello hello! July is already here so this month, I am going to start amping up my post since I start school next month and want to put out as much content as I can before then because school takes over. Today’s post is about my summer shoes and the ones I gravitate towards during these months.
The first are just some slide on mules from Rue 21. I recently saw the original version from Gucci and was so elated that I got mine for just 5 bucks. They might not last as long or have the best quality but when I can save money, you bet I’ll jump at the chance. I am in love with these babies.
I’m way too into black shoes…they just match everything! These, also from Rue21 are such a pretty flat. They have a scalloped detail. The lace up look adds such texture to a basic outfit. They are way more comfy than I I initially thought!
Let me add a bit of color….they may just be white but it’s a big thing for me! My trusty high top white converse are the best shoe investment I’ve made. I’ve had these for about 3 years and while they aren’t as white, there is no traction fade, fabric rip, etc. These are such a fashionable and easily recognizable shoe that I absolutely adore and can easily be styled.
And some real color are ones I have talked about before but I can’t stop raving about them. They are the Forever 21 pointed toe mules….in pink! I love love love these shoes. They add such a western feel with the buckle and detailed pattern. I love pairing these lovelies with all black and letting the shoes be the star of the show.
Those are my summer shoes! I love having a bit of every style going on. What’s your favorite summer shoe style!?

Hello hello! I hope you are well! Gratitude is something I have been more aware of lately. My mother has been telling me for years to say thank you for waking up to the day. I don’t remember when I started saying thank you every morning but my energy has shifted since I began saying these two words in the morning
I started watching and listening to Oprah and she mentioned having a gratitude journal. Every night, she writes down at least 5 things she is grateful that day. This idea struck me so deeply so I went out and got a little journal and began. I started with writing 5 things a night, but it grew to fill the whole page of the little things in my day that have made me stop and appreciate it. I have been writing in my gratitude journal for about 3 weeks and I find myself looking for things to be write in my journal.
I love the concept of this process. My days have become more seperate and I see that I am grateful for the little things in life. After I write down the things I am grateful for. I close my eyes and go through each one all over again and when I open my eyes, I am filled with such appreciation.
Want to start your own gratitude journal? Go get yourself a journal and start tonight! You’ll soon see that you will begin looking for things to make your journal entry.

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I am talking about what I do when I see or feel a nasty breakout begin to bubble up. I’ve gotten a few products together to form a team that will always stop my planet zit in its tracks!
The first thing I go for when I feel a breakout begin is to put makeup on that area at the very end of my makeup routine. This helps me to not spread that bacteria from the effected area out anywhere else on my face.
Next, I will wash my face using Garnier’s SkinActive Clean+Pore Purifying 2-in-1 Clay Cleanser….what a name. This product smells manly and clean and I am all about that. This is for oily skin so if you have more of a normal skin, try using the Invigorating Daily Scrub for Normal skin. Back to the Clay Cleanser. This removes all the dirt and oil from my face and leaves it feeling soft and polished.
To wash my face, I love using my Vanity Planet spin for perfect skin facial brush. I talk about this thing way to much. When I don’t use this, I can tell my face isn’t as clean. This brush makes me feel so confident that any bacteria from the affected area will be treated and clean.
The next thing I do is something I swear by. I’ve made a post about this product before and it is the Indian Healing Clay Mask. This product is in powder form. You add equal parts of apple cider vinegar (or water if you have sensitive skin) and of the Clay powder. I love using this mask about once a week to give my face a super deep clean. For days when I have a breakout the size of Jupiter forming, I take a q-tip, dip it in apple cider vinegar and then into the powder and dot it on any problem areas. I cannot tell you how many times I have woken up and it has vanished that soon to be zit. Go back a bit to read more about this facial product.
Another easy thing you can do is make sure your pillow cases are nice and clean. I always put my hair in a pony tail to keep the oils from getting into my pillow. Another thing is I try and sleep on my back to prevent myself from getting unecessary oils into my pores, thus causing breakouts.
Washing your makeup brushes on the regular is pretty obvious but why not include it. It is important thing to keep those breakouts at bay. After you get rid of that breakout, make sure to wash your brushes to make sure you don’t cause another one from forming.
And of course, do not sleep with your makeup on. You need your skin to get a good nights rest too! And drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated!
What do you do to control those breakouts?

Growing up, tattoos weren’t something that was forbidden, but they were not encouraged. I have always wanted a floral tattoo because I have always seen so much beauty and life in them and they always remind me of my mom who has a jungle of plants all around the house for as long as I can remember. I knew that if I were to get a tattoo one day, it would have something to do with flowers or plants. It wasn’t until last year that I finally decided to get it done. (Sorry about BB-8 in the background. My boyfriend is all about it)
I have two sisters and of course my mom and wanted to get three black and grey flowers on my arm representing them. Black and grey because I like how that minimal color looks on my olive skin. A peony for my mom and a rose for one of my sisters. I chose the minimal look because that is just the style I like and am drawn to. I went to Kustom Thrills in East Nashville and had Brandon Henderson work his magic. I talked to my mom right before I got it done and all she said was “can you not get it done smaller?” I assured her it would not be that big and that I would let her know when I was finished. The process was unlike any other. It was a very sanitized space so I wasn’t worried about that. I was worried about how I would feel. Would it hurt alot? Would I be able to handle this? What if I move and I make him mess up?
I was overthinking but my boyfriend reassured me I would be fine. The pain started off as little pokes. This was okay….until an hour in. This pain became raw and annoying. I could handle it, it just felt pretty uncomfortable. My tattoo took about an hour and a half to finish and I ended up getting only two flowers done instead of the three. I didn’t know how much it would end up costing.
I am quite the indecisive person so I chose to just leave it plain without any shading and then, If I wanted it, I could go back and shade it in. It has been almost a year since I got this tattoo and I am still so in love with it. I am so excited to go back and get my third flower and have some line shading added in a bit. I love the idea of tattoos because they are extended representations of oneself. I never get old of looking at this little garden on my arm everyday.

Hello! I hope you are well. It is officially summer and it is all about having that glowy skin, but why not turn the volume up on that glow? I have become obsessed with highlighters because it instanly gives my face such a light and glow. During the summer, I tend to put a bit extra on. So… let’s get into these highlighters!
The first highlight I want to talk about is the very first one I got myself. It’s called Wisp from Colourpop. I have had this one for about 3 years now and I have just hit pan on this baby. I love that it has a slight bronze color it has the the instant glow it gives. This has a cream consistency and I love the price and color range of Colourpop’s highlighters.
The next is from Urban Decay and it is called Sin. I received this in my Ipsy bag and it is so incredibly pigmented. It has a neutral color that I believe would match almost every skin tone.
Nyx cosmetics always has a place in my blog posts. This highlight called Synthetic is the most beautiful pinky coral color that gives such brightness to my skin. This is the ultimate summer highlight.
And the last is from Jeffree Starr Cosmetics called King Tut. It is a bronze color but it is the most pigmented highlight of the others I talked about in this post. Not to mention the size of this highlight. You really get so much for you money and a little bit goes such a long way.
Highlighters are my jam to make my face glow like a disco ball, and these 4 are amazing highlighters to make shine so bright and the price range of these highlighters range from about 5 dollars to about$30. You are sure to love one of these, so go and glow like the sun!

Hello hello! I hope all is well with you. I have recently read a book that has shifted my mind. I love books that help me become more motivated and determined to do something to better my life.
The Universe Has Your Back by Gabrielle Bernstein is a book that I have seen floating around all over the internet. I have been on an Audible kick and I have been looking for new books to experience. I had recently listened to Oprah’s What I Know For Sure and was so completely inspired and motivated to live my truest self possible. Once I finished the book, I was really wanting to continue that momentum I had built up. The Universe Has Your Back seems like a religious book, but it is about having faith in yourself and the thought that the universe, indeed, does have your back. I loved the idea of this concept.
As soon as I began listening to this book, I could not listen to anything else. On my way to work, instead of listening to my Spotify playlist, I just wanted to soak in the words from this book. Once I finished it I took so many things away from that help me keep a positive and happy spirit alive. This book does include some meditation exercises and some words to say as you go about your day.
“I witness I am out of alignment with my power, I choose to see peace instead of this.” These words have helped me shift back to a positive place, if I am feeling like down or if my day hasn’t been good. I just say these words and feel relaxed and centered. Another phrase is ” I step back and let the universe lead the way.” This phrase reminds me to work as hard as I can and live a positive life, after that I just need to surrender the rest to the universe. This makes the work that I do with this blog so much more fun. I do post regularly twice a week and I never feel obligated to have content. I just have fun with it and every week that comes, I have new ideas to create. I’m never without ideas because I trust that I will have them.
The Universe Has Your Back by Gabrielle Bernstein is a book that reinforces my drive to keep the faith and motivation with whatever I do. I love the words of this book and have shared them with friends and family. My sister even told me this is exactly what she needed. I wanted to share some words with you because we all deserve to live a life that is filled with positivity.
Buy the audiobook! If you prefer the physical copy, it is also available!

Hello all! I hope you are well. June is here and so is my Ipsy glam bag of the month! It arrived Tuesday of this week and I actually wasn’t very happy with the products I received so I wasn’t going to write a post about it but my blog isn’t about everything I like. Sometimes, products don’t work for me but I can always make them work if I want to give it a chance! I am looking on the positive side to see if I can make these products work for me.
The first product is from Nyx.. I love this brand to pieces! However, I received the Whipped Lip and Cheek Souffle. I don’t use blush, but I could potentially use this on my eyes and lips instead.
The next product is from Beauty For Real. It is their I-Line 24/7 Eyeliner in 24 Karat which is a shimmer gold shade. I typically just go for a standard black liner and don’t really have any reason to wear a gold liner. But I could use this to make black winged liner look a bit more unique by outlining it with 24 Karat.
Pure Brazilian is a brand that I have received before from Ipsy and it came to good use to me with the leave in conditioner. This month, I recevied their Shine Ultra Light Nourishing Oil. My hair tends to be on the oily side so I wasn’t too excited to receive this but today I used it on the ends of my hair and it made it feel so soft and shiny.
The Balm Cosmetics is a brand that I am always happy to get from. Using blush however, is not something that I ever use…because…confession time…. don’t know how to use it. I am trying to make this product work so I will look at some YouTube tutorials to learn the ways of using a blush…or I could use this as an eyeshadow.
The last product is from Luna Cosmetics in a pink shade called Jace. This was the product I was most excited to see until I opened the packaging. The shadow has broken and loose shadow was all over. The eyeshadow containter was also broken so I don’t think I’ll be keeping this shadow which I am disappointed about because the color looks so pretty!
To the bag! This was probably my most favorite thing about this Ipsy glam bag. It’s pretty cute and I love the lip and the color block pattern.
That was my June Ipsy bag! What did you get in your June Ipsy Glam bag?
