3 Morning Mantras to Start Your Day.

Categories

Hello! I hope you are well. I am a morning person as I love waking up early enough to have more than enough time to take my pups out for their morning walk and make breakfast woWhen I first wake up in the morning, I love feeling the day and letting my mind slowly wake up. With that I also like morning matras. I will be sharing 3 morning matras that will help you start your morning and day in a positive way.  I try and alternate these 3 mantras throughout the week and set myself up for the day.floweryall.jpg

Thank you- The most simple of my matras but it never fails to make me feel instant gratitude for the day. Saying this throughout my morning makes me love getting out of bed and out the door with my pups.

What would You have me do?Where would You have me go? What would You have me say, and to whom? – I heard this morning matra quoted from Gabrielle Bernstein’s The Universe Has Your Back. I love that I can ask these questions and see what happens. If on days where I feel down, If I say these words, I feel like I will guided to a more positive way of thinking and being.

I choose to be happy- I love that I can choose how to feel when I wake up. I don’t always feel happy when I wake up but I can use these words to jump start it and I can go to it if work gets stressful/hectic.

Review: Wet N’ Wild Megaliner

Categories

Hey and welcome back! I hope you are well. I have been using this product for a few months now and mentioned it in my August favorites. Eyeliner is such a staple in my makeup bag. Wet N’ Wild is such an affordable brand yet their products have barely ever disappointed me.

Yes this liner has been out for quite some time, but I have yet to use it until now! I love how dark it is and how quickly it dries. The brush is like a rubber tip which isn’t super thin and makes it a bit difficult to apply how I’d like but If i give myself enough time to work with it, the brush isn’t so bad.  The handle to the brush itself does make up for it as it tapers to have a better grip.wetliner222.jpg

I got the non waterproof version to this liner because I love the simplicity of taking this off at the end of the day without feeling like I rubbed my eye off. However, there is also a waterproof version for those who prefer it. I believe it was under $5 which is amazing. I’ve had mine for about a month and a half and have not even gotten close to reaching the bottom of this liner! Did I also mention that this product is vegan? linerww

Favorite Haircare Products!

Categories

Hello! I have never really talked about hair products, but I have really been liking what my hair is doing lately so I thought I would talk about the products that have really been helping my hair not only look good, but feel good!

The first is one I have mentioned before. Click here for my review on this product This cleansing conditioner from Ren Hair is amazing and has made my hair less frizzy, more smooth and has brought my natural waves come through again. It was weird for me at first to use a cleansing conditioner at first because I felt like I was washing my hair with globs of conditioner, but it really has helped immensely!conditionerfeat.jpg

Next is this leave in conditioner from Pure Brazilian. I love the coconut scent it has. I love applying this to my hair when it is still a bit damp, focusing on the ends. I received this in an Ipsy Glam bag and I have been using it since. purebrazhair.jpg

Dry Shampoo is  must for us all as it helps us keep away from washing our hair for an extra day and this No Drought Dry Shampoo from Lush is perfect. I love the citrusy scent and that I can help disperse better as it is not in an aerosol can. To read a bit more about this product, click here where I have a product review that I made a few months back!condiomtermain.jpg

It can be difficult sometimes, but I only use heat on it about once every other week. When I was a bit younger, I would use my blow drier, straightener and/or curler everyday. My hair was damaged, rough and frizzy. Letting my hair air dry has helped my hair start gaining its natural curls and become less frizzy.

Not using heat on it has also helped my hair stay healthy and strong. This last tip isn’t a product but rather a method for heatless waves. I’m sure many of you have heard this before. To get those beachy waves in my hair, I just loosely braid my hair, let it do its thing for a while and then.. I have waves!

August Ipsy Glam Bag!

Categories

Hello! I hope you are well. A new month means a new glam bag form Ipsy! I also wanted to start including whether or not products in my ipsy bag are vegan and/or cruelty free.I have been really starting to notice that there are many brands that don’t test on animals and I want to support those brands. So let’s jump into it!

The first thing I received is a liner from Serephine Bontanicals. This liquid coal waterproof liner has a rubberflex tip to acheive a perfect cat eye and it is vegan/celiac friendly! I cannot wait to try it out. linerswatch.jpglinerseraphiine.jpg

I love getting new brushed from Ipsy. This one from SLMissGlam is their T35 Precise Blending Brush. The first thing that caught my eye about this brush was the color. My brushes tend to favor the dark side, but this one is super bright and will definitely stand out among my other brushes. Also it is cruelty-free!brushmint.jpgbrushipsy.jpg

I personally love clear brow gel. It helps me put my brow hairs in place and get them ready for some filling in. I just don’t work well with a tinted brow gel. This one from Chella is their Eyebrow Defining Gel. I tried researching to see if this brand is cruelty free, but I have not found a definte answer.chellagel.jpgchellabrow.jpg

This Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay from First Aid Beauty is something I am particularly excited to try this month. I love a good cleanser and am always looking forward to what it does to my skin. As read on the brand’s site: Do you test on animals? At First Aid Beauty, we love animals. That’s why we are committed to being a 100% cruelty free company. We have not, do not and will not conduct any testing of ingredients or finished products on animals. Furthermore, we only work with business partners who certify compliance with our policy.cleanserirstaid

The last product I recevied is from TheBalm. I have not been too excited to try any of the products I have received from this brand, so I will be removing this brand from my makeup preferences. TheBalm is not certified but they claim they do not test on animals. They aren’t vegan however, as some of their products do contain animal by-products.balmwillkommen.jpgbalmpack.jpg

All Time Fashion Favorites!

Categories

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I am going to be sharing some of my all-time favorite fashion pieces. These are items that I wear year round and that keep me feeling good and comfy.

The first is my denim jacket from Forever 21. I have always loved the look of denim jackets and have been on the hunt for one that looked a bit more worn and that wasn’t cropped. This one is just right, even down to the button detail and the denim wash.I wear this jacket all the time. In the summer, I bring it along with me to work in case I get cold and it is always matches everything I am wearing.denimjackets2

High waisted jeans are an absolute must for me. Before these were a thing, I was always super uncomfortable wearing jeans that were so low. As soon as the high waist jean trend had all the stores with their own style of this jean, I stocked up on them. I love Forever 21’s stock of high waist jeans and these I found at the thrift store.  I am 5″0 so while I can cut the bottoms a few inches and they fit perfectly!highwaisted.jpg

Basic t-shirts are everything. They can be mixed and matched everything. I love having my basic shirts with the v-neck detail. I tend to have a variety of colors of these from Forever 21 and love how soft they are. Did I mention they are under $10 each?basicts.jpg

A good belt can elevate a simple jean and t-shirt look and I love that these belts can make a dress, romper or just shorts look more western and instantly amazing. This belt is from Rue 21 and I wear it with rompers and jeans. It makes the belt look like the star of the show.belttttt.jpg

A pair of shoes, for me, need to be comfortable, cute and that pair with everything. With that being said, I have too many black shoes. From loafers, to Mary Janes, to oxford shoes, they are all black. Yeah, I do have my share of colorful footwear, but I can’t get enough of my darker soles. They match any outfit and the shade of a darker shoe always looks sleek.shoessssss.jpg

As much as I love my shoes, I love bags. Black bags seem to take over my collection as well. I like cross body bags but I have recently been carrying around a tote type of bag. This one from H&M is like from Mary Poppins. It. Fits.Everything. I have so much crammed in this bag and still, it always looks amazing. This smaller one from Forever 21 (sensing a trend now) is one I take with me when I don’t need to lug around a big bag filled with things I just don’t need at the time.bagtote.jpg

Graphic t-shirts have always been something I am about. I love the laid-back vibe it gives to what could be a simple look. These are one I tend to wear alot I like that they are a bit cropped and aren’t too long or unflattering.graphic
