October Ipsy Bag!

Hey! I hope you are well. October has been a busy month so far with school and work so when my ipsy bag comes in the mail, I get to relax a bit and play around with the products! I am finally on fall break so typing up this post is perfect to kick it off.  The bag itself screams all things fall and Halloweeny. I love the lace detail it has and the shade of red it is. This months products are pretty good from just swatching them. I have been eyeing one of these products for years now, so I am excited to see how I like it. ipsyoctproducts.jpg

The product I am talking about is Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide in liner in Perversion. This liner I heard about from a few youtubers and was curious about it. But with it being a liner pencil, I wasn’t expecting it to stay out and not smudge. When I swatched this liner on the back of my hand, It was nice and soft, went on super easy and it had a lot of pigment to it. Now for the smudging and fading I was expecting. There was absolutely no smudging whatsoever. This liner really impressed me and I haven’t even properly used it! ublinerperv.jpglinerswatch.jpg

Next is a shadow from Meech and Mia. It is their loose shadow in purple. The swatch I did is so pretty. It’s more of a silvery purple color with greenish shades. I like that when it catches the light, it looks like three to four different colors.   meech&miasha.jpgmeechsawtch

Next is another highlight from Doucce. It is a pearly pink color that gives off such a pretty shine. doucceshad.jpgdoucceswatch.jpg

Next is an eye cream from the brand Skyn Iceland. Icelandic Relief Eye Cream has Glacial Flower Extract. This has a custard like consistency and it feels so thick and rich. I cannot wait to hopefully give my under eyes some relief. eyeskyn.jpg Last is from It Cosmetics and it’s their Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder. I have used products from this brand before and I have never been disappointed by their products so I am looking forward to how this words for me.itcosmetics powder.jpg itpowder.jpg

August Ipsy Glam Bag!

Hello! I hope you are well. A new month means a new glam bag form Ipsy! I also wanted to start including whether or not products in my ipsy bag are vegan and/or cruelty free.I have been really starting to notice that there are many brands that don’t test on animals and I want to support those brands. So let’s jump into it!

The first thing I received is a liner from Serephine Bontanicals. This liquid coal waterproof liner has a rubberflex tip to acheive a perfect cat eye and it is vegan/celiac friendly! I cannot wait to try it out. linerswatch.jpglinerseraphiine.jpg

I love getting new brushed from Ipsy. This one from SLMissGlam is their T35 Precise Blending Brush. The first thing that caught my eye about this brush was the color. My brushes tend to favor the dark side, but this one is super bright and will definitely stand out among my other brushes. Also it is cruelty-free!brushmint.jpgbrushipsy.jpg

I personally love clear brow gel. It helps me put my brow hairs in place and get them ready for some filling in. I just don’t work well with a tinted brow gel. This one from Chella is their Eyebrow Defining Gel. I tried researching to see if this brand is cruelty free, but I have not found a definte answer.chellagel.jpgchellabrow.jpg

This Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay from First Aid Beauty is something I am particularly excited to try this month. I love a good cleanser and am always looking forward to what it does to my skin. As read on the brand’s site: Do you test on animals? At First Aid Beauty, we love animals. That’s why we are committed to being a 100% cruelty free company. We have not, do not and will not conduct any testing of ingredients or finished products on animals. Furthermore, we only work with business partners who certify compliance with our policy.cleanserirstaid

The last product I recevied is from TheBalm. I have not been too excited to try any of the products I have received from this brand, so I will be removing this brand from my makeup preferences. TheBalm is not certified but they claim they do not test on animals. They aren’t vegan however, as some of their products do contain animal by-products.balmwillkommen.jpgbalmpack.jpg

July Ipsy Glam Bag

Hello! I hope you are well. This month is looking good for my glam bag. My July Glam bag is here so lets talk about what I recevied!

The first is another highlight….I can never have enough highlights. I wanna glow like a disco ball. This is from the brand Nomad Cosmetics. This Illuminating Highlight in Midnight Sun. highlightbrush.jpgnomadhigh.jpg

This eyeliner from Ciate London is their Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid liner in Black. wonderwand.jpglinerbrush.jpgwonderwandliner.jpglinerline.jpg

I love Tarte Cosmetics so I am excited to use their Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel tartecleansinggel.jpg

I am always game for synethic makeup brushes so this Blender brush from So Susan is looking good. I am loving The look of this brushbrush.jpgsusanbrush.jpg

My lips are always dry little gummy bears so I always have a lip balm close by. I have tried so many so why not try another? This one from Hempz is their Ultra Moisturizing Herbal lip balm. I love this. It smells, to me, like pineapple. hempzlip.jpg

To the glam bag!.. This is the cutest little glam bag I’ve received. Sanrio’s Gudetama is the face of July’s Ipsy bag. This little guy is looking like me when I have to go to my day job. I love the animation of this bag. frontbag.jpgeggbooty

June Ipsy Bag!

Hello all! I hope you are well. June is here and so is my Ipsy glam bag of the month! It arrived Tuesday of this week and I actually wasn’t very happy with the products I received so I wasn’t going to write a post about it but my blog isn’t about everything I like. Sometimes, products don’t work for me but I can always make them work if I want to give it a chance! I am looking on the positive side to see if I can make these products work for me.

The first product is from Nyx.. I love this brand to pieces! However, I received the Whipped Lip and Cheek Souffle. I don’t use blush, but I could potentially use this on my eyes and lips instead.

The next product is from Beauty For Real. It is their I-Line 24/7 Eyeliner in 24 Karat which is a shimmer gold shade. I typically just go for a standard black liner and don’t really have any reason to wear a gold liner. But I could use this to make black winged liner look a bit more unique by outlining it with 24 Karat.beautyrealeye.jpgFullSizeR (1).jpg

Pure Brazilian is a brand that I have received before from Ipsy and it came to good use to me with the leave in conditioner. This month, I recevied their Shine Ultra Light Nourishing Oil. My hair tends to be on the oily side so I wasn’t too excited to receive this but today I used it on the ends of my hair and it made it feel so soft and shiny. purebraz.jpg

The Balm Cosmetics is a brand that I am always happy to get from. Using blush however, is not something that I ever use…because…confession time…. don’t know how to use it. I am trying to make this product work so I will look at some YouTube tutorials to learn the ways of using a blush…or I could use this as an eyeshadow. balmblush.jpg

The last product is from Luna Cosmetics in a pink shade called Jace. This was the product I was most excited to see until I opened the packaging. The shadow has broken and loose shadow was all over. The eyeshadow containter was also broken so I don’t think I’ll be keeping this shadow which I am disappointed about because the color looks so pretty!jaceeye.jpg

To the bag! This was probably my most favorite thing about this Ipsy glam bag. It’s pretty cute and I love the lip and the color block pattern. IMG_8816.jpg

That was my June Ipsy bag! What did you get in your June Ipsy Glam bag?

May Ipsy Bag!

Hello! May is here and it’s been a lovely month so far. My break has started, I’ve been reading books upon books, I’ve been feeling super motivated to post as much as I can, and of course, my May Ipsy bag has arrived!

The first product I received in my bag is from Urban Decay and is also my first product from this brand! It is the Afterglow Highlight in Sin. This champagne toned highlight is super pigmented and really leaves such a beautiful glow on the skin. I have been getting quite into highlighters lately so to receive another one perfect for summer is such a score! I love brushing this highlight of the tip of my nose, my brow bone, the inner corners of my eyes and of course my cheekbones. I love the glow this highlight provides and how long it lasts!

The next product is from Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Electric wowed me to no end. These shadows are so pigmented, the fallout of this shadow is nonexistent and the colors are out of this world. This cute little shadow duo comes in a gold and rose gold color and while I don’t usually like shimmery shadows, these have me wanting to experiement with more shimmer.  (Gluten, Paraben and Cruelty Free)

The next is a hair care product from Beauty and Pin-ups. It is their Fearless Hair Rescue Mask. Now I have not used this product just yet but I am liking the thought of hair masks. A few months back in another Ipsy bag, I received a hair mask from Quai and I loved it, so I am quite excited to use another hair masks and see what it does to my hair!

hairpost (1).jpg

More eyeliners? Anytime! Pixi by Petra and the Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Noir is such a smooth, creamy and highly pigmented liner and one that doesn’t easily smudge. I am always on board for a liner as dark as the night sky and this one is pretty darn close. I love going over my strip lashes to cover up any glue or skin that I may have missed. This liner for sure does the job.DSC_1479.jpg

The last is from Caked Makeup and a brand I haven’t heard of until now. This Lip Fondant in Low Key is a nude red tone and is such a summer color. I haven’t used this product but I am ready for a bright summer color!

DSC_1458Can I also mention the stupidly cute makeup bag? It has ice cream cones and popsicles and I love the transparent style of this bag. The size of it also fits everything I need and more! Best bag since I’ve signed up!DSC_1474.jpg

What did you get in your Ipsy bag?

January Ipsy Glam Bag

Hello hello!

Winter has begun and that means layers of warm cozy clothes, all the blankets and hot chocolate and January’s Ipsy glam bag!  This month’s glam bag includes a concealer and a primer among other things so lets get to it!

The first product is from It Cosmetics and it’s their Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Anti-Aging Concealer. This concealer is nice and thick and for me, I love myself a good thick concealer. This is a waterproof and full coverage concealer and I am loving it so far! It is filled with Hydrolyzed Collagen, Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid and Antioxidants. Did I mention it is also paraben and crueltly free?!

The second item is from Star Crushed Minerals and it’s their Metallic Eye shadow in Aged to Perfection Champagne. This is a loose shadow pigment and while I don’t tend to use metallic eye shadows, I can definitely see myself trying this product out as a highlight.

I also received a brush from Crown Brush and it’s their C405 Contour Blush Brush. This is another product that I will be using to my own liking. I don’t wear blush, but who says you can’t use it as any other brush?! Oh the possibilities!

I love trying out new primers and this one has impressed me and I have only been using it for two days. Temptu Base Smooth and Matte Primer is oil-free, hypoallergenic and controls my oils that I tend to get on my t-zone area. This is definitely my  favorite product in my January glam bag.

The last product is from ClariSea and it’s their Instant Glow Lavender Powder Exfoliant. I used this for the first time last night and I was amazed at how my face looked. At first, I was confused as to how to use it since it is a powder exfoliant. It’s something I’ve never used but all you do is add equal parts of the powder and equal amounts of whatever facial cleanser you use. This stuff smells amazing and it made my skin look and feel fresh and glowy. (I’m thinking about buying the full sized version of this product ;))

And those are all the things I received in my January Glam Bag from Ipsy. If you have any of these products, let me know how you like them!

September Favorites!

Hello, hello again!

September was definitely a month of many favorites. From beauty to clothing, to a new tattoo, this month has been quite awesome! Let’s get started with beauty products.

The first is from Freeman Beauty Infusion and it’s their Overnight Brightening mask  with Hibiscus and Vitamin C. This water-gel mask is infused with serum and is meant to be worn overnight. It is like nothing I’ve ever used. What I do Is cleanse my face, apply eye cream, and moisturizer as normal. Then I go in with this mask and apply a thin layer. It goes on so smooth and sinks into my skin so quickly so I don’t have to worry about getting it all over the bed. In the morning, I simply rub the excess into my skin and voila! My skin is sooooo hydrated and bright!

The next product is a 98% Aloe Vera Gel. I’m not sure what brand it is from as it is in another language. I love using more natural products for my skin and whatnot. I use this gel during my night routine as a moisturizer and it smells and feels so refreshing and leaves my skin quite soft and smelling like an cute little aloe plant.

One of the items from my September Ipsy bag is from Tarte. It’s the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara. The fact that is is a vegan product makes me super happy but if you just look at the bristles on this mascara you will fall for it too. This mascara makes my lashes look so full and long and even takes those super short lashes, giving a doll effect.

The next product is from the lovely NYX and it’s their Dark Circle Concealer in Light. This concealer is infused with coconut oil which makes this look anything but cakey and instead, conceals my darker under eyes and  leaves them hydrated and ready for concealer.

My last beauty product is from my September Ipsy bag and it’s the Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in Black. This is a felt tip liner and usually I stay away from eyeliners like these, but after receiving it in my glam bag, I really love using it to wing out my liner! The tip of the liner doesn’t bend and it’s actually easy to use. The felt applicator is super precise and the formula is so black and it does not budge!

The next category of favorites is clothing!

During the month of September, I have been wearing this denim jacket to class, work, to walk Jax and pretty much everywhere else. I love anything denim and when I saw this jacket I didn’t think about it twice about it.  It feels like it’s already been worn in and is such a soft denim. The dye and color of the buttons are the epitome of the perfect denim jacket for me. I love this jacket!

I have been on a kick with Forever 21’s V-neck shirts. I am wearing one of them as I write this post. They fit so well and are soft and cozy. I usually tuck it into my high waisted jeans and throw on a denim jacket or cardigan and i’m ready for the day.

Having slip-on shoes are my favorite and these tan faux suede slip-ons have a slight platform which give me just a bit more height and are nice and cushioned and I honestly feel like I’m wearing slippers to class.

These last items are just randoms that don’t fit into categories above but I wanted to mention them:

The first is Bob Dylan. His music is still rings so true today and is so talented. My favorite song by him at the moment is “I Want You” The music in this song is so happy and upbeat. Of course, Dylan’s voice is magically raspy  and hypnotizing.

A few movies that I have been loving includes Snowden and Almost Famous. Snowden was such an interesting and amazing movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt played the main actor and did such a good job. He even changes his voice to make it sound more like the real person and never once did I notice that he was losing that voice.

The next movie is Almost Famous. This movie is my all time favorite and I always seem to find myself wanting to watch it and saying lines to my boyfriend. “I’m incendiary too, man!” This movie always puts me in a good mood and the scene where they are all singing along to Tiny Dancer, as cheesy as it sounds, it makes me smile everytime.

The last favorite of September is a tattoo I got at the very beginning of the month. It is two black and grey flowers. One is a peony and the other a rose. I had it done in East Nashville and I am very happy with them because it they represent people who are very important to me. I have always wanted flower tattoos and I got these done to represent my mom and sister I am in love with this tattoo.
