Hello hello! I hope you are well! Gratitude is something I have been more aware of lately. My mother has been telling me for years to say thank you for waking up to the day. I don’t remember when I started saying thank you every morning but my energy has shifted since I began saying these two words in the morning
I started watching and listening to Oprah and she mentioned having a gratitude journal. Every night, she writes down at least 5 things she is grateful that day. This idea struck me so deeply so I went out and got a little journal and began. I started with writing 5 things a night, but it grew to fill the whole page of the little things in my day that have made me stop and appreciate it. I have been writing in my gratitude journal for about 3 weeks and I find myself looking for things to be write in my journal.
I love the concept of this process. My days have become more seperate and I see that I am grateful for the little things in life. After I write down the things I am grateful for. I close my eyes and go through each one all over again and when I open my eyes, I am filled with such appreciation.
