Review: Wet N’ Wild Megaliner

Hey and welcome back! I hope you are well. I have been using this product for a few months now and mentioned it in my August favorites. Eyeliner is such a staple in my makeup bag. Wet N’ Wild is such an affordable brand yet their products have barely ever disappointed me.

Yes this liner has been out for quite some time, but I have yet to use it until now! I love how dark it is and how quickly it dries. The brush is like a rubber tip which isn’t super thin and makes it a bit difficult to apply how I’d like but If i give myself enough time to work with it, the brush isn’t so bad.  The handle to the brush itself does make up for it as it tapers to have a better grip.wetliner222.jpg

I got the non waterproof version to this liner because I love the simplicity of taking this off at the end of the day without feeling like I rubbed my eye off. However, there is also a waterproof version for those who prefer it. I believe it was under $5 which is amazing. I’ve had mine for about a month and a half and have not even gotten close to reaching the bottom of this liner! Did I also mention that this product is vegan? linerww

September Ipsy bag!

Hey welcome back! I hope you are well! My September Ipsy bag has arrived so let’s talk about it!

The first product is from Smashbox Cosmetics. This Photo Finish Radiance Foundation Primer seems quite interesting It looks as if it has some slight glimmery color with tiny title bits of glitter in it.smahboxprime.jpg

The next is from Hanalei and it’s their Papaya Enzyme Powder Cleanser. This is a water activated cleanser and while I have used a powder cleanser before, this one seems so nice and freshing for my skin! It comes with 5 single use packets which I love. It keeps this hygenic and I can’t wait to use this!hanapowder.jpg

This eyeshadow from Elizabeth Mott, Pop Goes the Shadow in Toasted is quite pretty. It is a muted almost sheer light brownish color. While I don’t like shimmery shadows, this one seems just right for me.pop.jpgpopshadow.jpg

Another brush to add to my collection! This one from Luxie is their 207 Medium Angled Shading Brush. I can never hate receiving new brushed so I’m happy to start incorporating this one into my routine!DSC_3251.jpgluxbrush.jpg

The last product is actually two from the brand Manefit. These Mugwort Astringent + Pore Care and Lily Whitening + Brightening Sheet Masks seem like the perfect mask after a long day of classes and work. If you have read my blog about face masks, you’ll know I am all about a good face mask!DSC_3258.jpg

To the bag:

This bag has to be at the top of my Ipsy glam bags. It is a faux leather bag with a studded detail all over. I am loving it!bag.png

What’s in my bag?

Hey! Welcome back! I hope you are well.  I have been trying to schedule time for my page since school has started along with working as well, so it has been a bit difficult. However, I am planning out ways to still take photos and plan out posts. So, as the title says my bag contains things that are practical  and that are always in my bag so let’s get to it!

I pretty much always have a lip balm around since my lips are almost always dry. This one from Carmex is one I have been able to get through it without losing it and I really like it! It is medicated which helps greatly!lipcar.jpg

Pen’s are always sitting in my bag. I always tons of pens in my bag, for class, work, etc. penbag.jpg

This EOS hand cream is a product that smells so light, sweet and floraly while keeping my hands nice and moisturized.eoshang.jpg

This Mario Badescue facial spray has seen better days but I always have a facial spray in my bag to freshen up my skin or if I overdid it on the setting spray. I love the rose smell of this stuff ! badescuspray.jpg

Hand sanitizer is essential for me if I’ve been out all day. This sanitizer from the Body Shop smells like creamy coconut and I just love that I don’t smell the alcohol in this. handsan.jpg

A bag of Mint tea goes around with me all the time. I just love the fresh taste of it and if I’ve had coffee already I grab some decaf mint tea! teabag.jpg

This lipstick knife was gifted to me by my boyfriend and I always have it! I love that it’s in the classic black tube with gold. lipknife.jpg

August Ipsy Glam Bag!

Hello! I hope you are well. A new month means a new glam bag form Ipsy! I also wanted to start including whether or not products in my ipsy bag are vegan and/or cruelty free.I have been really starting to notice that there are many brands that don’t test on animals and I want to support those brands. So let’s jump into it!

The first thing I received is a liner from Serephine Bontanicals. This liquid coal waterproof liner has a rubberflex tip to acheive a perfect cat eye and it is vegan/celiac friendly! I cannot wait to try it out. linerswatch.jpglinerseraphiine.jpg

I love getting new brushed from Ipsy. This one from SLMissGlam is their T35 Precise Blending Brush. The first thing that caught my eye about this brush was the color. My brushes tend to favor the dark side, but this one is super bright and will definitely stand out among my other brushes. Also it is cruelty-free!brushmint.jpgbrushipsy.jpg

I personally love clear brow gel. It helps me put my brow hairs in place and get them ready for some filling in. I just don’t work well with a tinted brow gel. This one from Chella is their Eyebrow Defining Gel. I tried researching to see if this brand is cruelty free, but I have not found a definte answer.chellagel.jpgchellabrow.jpg

This Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay from First Aid Beauty is something I am particularly excited to try this month. I love a good cleanser and am always looking forward to what it does to my skin. As read on the brand’s site: Do you test on animals? At First Aid Beauty, we love animals. That’s why we are committed to being a 100% cruelty free company. We have not, do not and will not conduct any testing of ingredients or finished products on animals. Furthermore, we only work with business partners who certify compliance with our policy.cleanserirstaid

The last product I recevied is from TheBalm. I have not been too excited to try any of the products I have received from this brand, so I will be removing this brand from my makeup preferences. TheBalm is not certified but they claim they do not test on animals. They aren’t vegan however, as some of their products do contain animal by-products.balmwillkommen.jpgbalmpack.jpg

NYX Favorites!

Hello! I hope you are well. NYX is a makeup brand I have been finding myself gravitating towards. When I think of which brand I have more makeup from, it’s NYX. So why not talk to you about all of the products that have made an good/bad impression on me?

I have to do my brows with some kinds of brush to get them in the direction I want them to stay in. I got this in a charcoal color to fill in any gaps I have. The shape of the product is in one that helps me create the strokes of hair. The only thing I wish it had was a sharper end to better achieve the look of natural hair. The brush is perfect to blend it all out. For me this product is a 8/10. nyxeyebnyxbrowbrush

Lipstick is something I would wear a lot but these days I tend to only reach for it on special occasions. Lip liners are a must when I want a bold lip. It holds the color longer and shapes my lips. This one in London is the partner to my all time favorite lip product London in NYX soft matte lip creams. When I want it to last throughout the nightt, this lip liner is perfect. 10/10nyxlipliner.jpg

I’m a a sucker for single shadows. When I can’t invest in a palette, I can easily pick up a few of their single shadows and make a lil dupe palette myself. These Hot Single Eyeshadows could use some variety in shades and I have gotten a few that were to chalky to use. I looked past those and have loved them!  8/10nyxmattteshadow.jpg

Highlight for all! To me, this Duo Chromatic Illuminating Highlight is the dream of drugstore highlighters. I have this one in Synthetica and it has a peachy nude shade that gives a summery bronze look. I love the light pop of color it brings to a look. It almost glows like the skin is dewy. So lovely! 10/10nyxhdchrome.jpg

This Stay Matte Not Flat foundation got really feels like a higher end foundation! I loved the coverage it gave. The shade range is very small and I had to mix in some concealer to lighten it up. I hope they add to this collection because I really liked how Matte it kept my skin. I barely had any oils come through. 8/10nyxmattnoflat.jpg

Moisturize, protect and prime! This HD Studio Perfect Anti-Redness primer in green was something I didn’t really care for at first. It felt really slippery and I didn’t see any difference. I recently started using it again and have noticed that it does lighten up those red areas and covers those pores. It also keeps my makeup looking extra Matte as that is another claim of this primer. However, It does feel a bit heavy so I only apply a small dot in my entire face. 7/10nyx green primer.jpg

I love Nude Liners. I found that I can correct liner mistakes, conceal spots and brighten up my eyes. This Wonder Pencil is perfect for all of that. On those days when I need to look a bit more awake, applying this to my waterline is magic. My eyes instantly look brighter and it stays on for hours. I mess my liner up almost everyday and when I do, I can easily cover it up with a swipe of this. As for concealing, I have a shade too light for my skin but have tried it and it does made the spot less visible, but I would not say I solely use this to conceal. I do wish it was creamier. It tends to drag my waterline and eyelids. This wonder pencil comes in a few shades. A wider range of colors and a creamier formula would make this amazing. 8/10nyxwondereye.jpg

Last is the HD Eyeshadow Base. I’ve been using this for a few months and have definitely seen my shadow look brighter and  crease less. I have noticed that when I apply too much, it will make my eyelids look about cakey so I make sure to only apply a small amount. Over than that this is a good eyeshadow primer.9/10nyxeyeprimer.jpg

Everyday Makeup Routine!

Hello! I hope you are well. Today I am super excited to post my everyday makeup routine.  My everyday look is super focused on the eyes with fake lashes, winged liner and orange hued lids so here we go!

I like to prep my skin with lots of moisture and SPF especially in the summer. Next its time to prime. I like using this one from NYX. It wards off any redness I have. Once absorbed, I spray Urban Decay’s All Nighter spray. Next is foundation! This one from Maybelline is amazing. Matte and poreless Fitme is amazing. The color is such a  perfect fit! Next I color correct a bit and conceal with Maybelline’s age rewind concealer. Now it’s time to slightly bake with my Air Spin Transcluent powder. I am so in love with this because it is such a big bang for my 6 bucks.baseeveryday.jpgpowdereveryday .jpg

Eyeshadow here I come! I like doing a slightly subtle eye with a hue of warm toned colors. Winged liner is an absolute must for me. I love this one from Eyeko. I believe I recieved it in one of my Ipsy bags several months back. It is so dark and does not smear.shadoweveryday.jpglinereveryday.jpg

Contour officially makes me look more sculpted and less round and I love the power that a simple  and light contour has. I contour my cheekbones, nose and jawline. I just love seeing what contouring can do. This one from Kat Von D is the Shade and Light palette. It has seen better days but I am determined to use it all up!contourevery.jpg

Then it is to my eyebrows. I have started using this 2 sided Automatic Eyebrow pencil helps me fill in my brows while the Anastasia Brow Pomade brings my eyebrows to their perfect shade. This pomade has lasted me several years and I am just now finishing it! I like using these both to not have them looking too dark or overdone.browevery.jpg

A light coat of mascara from Tarte and it is my falsies. I have been wearing fake lashes since highschool and have never looked back since. I never have to worry if my lashes are falling. I am using these Kiss lashes “Shy” and love how natural they look while also adding depth. They are always ready to make my eyeliner look darker and make my lashes look full and long. Then I like to line my waterline with a nude liner from NYX. I like to alternate between the Faux whites and the Wonder Pencil. Then I add a coat of mascara to my bottom lashes.

fauxwhiteeverymascara

Highlight really brings my look together. Placing it on the high point of the face brings out the contour I worked on earlier. This one from Jeffree Starr is so increibly pigmented. I love how it looks if I spray it with the All Nighter Spray.highlighteveryday.jpgSome days I add a lipstick to my look, other times, I just can’t be bothered with it. Today I thought I would add Shroom from Lime Crime to my lips. I also love London from NYX.lipeveryday .jpg

And we are all set!

July Favorites!

Hello! I hope you are well.  Today is the last day of the month so here are my July Favorites!

This All Nighter setting spray from Urban Decay smells a bit like hairspray but it helps everything stick. I like how my makeup is exactly where I left it several hours later.allnighterspray .jpg

I’ve talked about this product before but It really has made it into my favorites in the little time I have had it. This Velvetine lip, Schroom by Lime Crime is quickly becoming my favorite nude lip product. While I hate the smell of it, once it dries it is perfection. I love the brown tone of this product and how long it stays on! limecrime shroom.jpg

Dry shampoos are something I use about 3-4 times a week and I love that this one from Lush isn’t a aerosol spray. I have had this for almost a year and I haven’t even used 1/4 of it. I love this stuff. It smells citrusy and I love that it doesn’t make my hair feel heavy/gross.dry shampoo.jpg

Hyaluronic Acid is such an amazing product. I use this stuff at night and to blend in my concealer for my undereyes. It plumps my skin and makes it look super smooth and hydrated. hyaacid.jpg

Non-Beauty Favorites.

Sex and The City– I watched this show when I was in highschool but I didn’t exactly relate to it until I got older. I watched the entire series in 2 1/2 weeks. This show makes me feel more comfortable in my skin as a women in ever sense of the word. It has made me tear up countless of times and has made me laugh out loud while eating breakfast. I have just have a newfound love for this show and the lovely actors in it.

Yoga– I started yoga this month and I am feeling so good. My body feels more flexible, energized and a bit more toned. I can’t wait to roll my mat out and get to doing a downward dog. My pups even sit on the mat and take stretch their lil bods out.

Face Masks!

Hello! I hope you are well.  What is your favorite step in your skincare routine? Face masks are something I always love doing. I instantly feel like I am fully relaxing when I have taken all my makeup off, am in the comfiest of clothes and am sitting on my couch watching Chelsea on a Friday night. I tend to use the same two but I love incorporating a few others into my facial mask family. Let’s talk about them!

The first is one I use about 3 times a week. However, one of those time is as a full facial mask. The other times I use them are for spot treatment. Indian Healing Clay Mask is 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay. I talk about this mask way too much but since I’ve now made a post all about masks, I think I can lay it to rest and try not to mention it anymore. This mask is it in powder form that will be activated with either apple cider vinegar or water if you have sensitive skin. This facial mask is the most effective one I have ever used. I feel is get deep into my pores and remove all the dirt and oil that has built up throughout the day. It will bubble a bit but that just means it’s working away! I loved removing the mask and seeing that my face is a bit rosy. That is because it has pumped blood to my face. This will go away after about 5 minutes. What is left is super clean and plump skin.indianmask.jpg

Sleeping masks are such heaven. I know it’s working away at giving me a boost of hydration.  This one from Freeman Beauty is their Beauty Infusion Brightening Overnight Mask with Hibiscus and Vitamin C. This was a bit of an iffy product for me at first. The first time I used this, my skin felt like it was on fire. I stopped using it because I thought my face was too sensitive for it, but I noticed it only felt that way when I exfoliated my skin. So when I use this mask, I skip the exfoliation. It has a lovely floral scent and a gel cream consistency.sleepmask.jpg

Peel-Off masks are such a favorite of mine. This one from Soo Ae is a Purifying Brightening Peeling mask. I love a good peel off mask. It removes dead skin, leaving a smooth, hydrated canvas and peeling it off is oddly satisfying. (Side note: recently used this and it is not a peel off mask. It is just an exfoliating peeling gel. My bad. Still a good product though!)peelingmask.jpg

I have been on the hunt for a bubble mask that I can simply get one use out of it. These packets from Soo Ae are amazing because they come in so many types of masks and are only 2.50 at Walmart. This one if their Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask. Like the description for these say, “it is like giving your face a bubble bath!” I have yet to use them but will get back to you as soon as I do to review this mask.bubblemask.jpg

Face masks are the highlight of my skincare time. It’s always fun for me to have a green face and have my boyfriend look at me like I am the Lockeness Monster and for my pups to sniff my face and wonder what happened to their mom. I love that my face is being taken care of while I make food, paint my nails or while I watch Netflix! I can’t get enough face masks. I have yet to try any paper masks, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!

July Ipsy Glam Bag

Hello! I hope you are well. This month is looking good for my glam bag. My July Glam bag is here so lets talk about what I recevied!

The first is another highlight….I can never have enough highlights. I wanna glow like a disco ball. This is from the brand Nomad Cosmetics. This Illuminating Highlight in Midnight Sun. highlightbrush.jpgnomadhigh.jpg

This eyeliner from Ciate London is their Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid liner in Black. wonderwand.jpglinerbrush.jpgwonderwandliner.jpglinerline.jpg

I love Tarte Cosmetics so I am excited to use their Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel tartecleansinggel.jpg

I am always game for synethic makeup brushes so this Blender brush from So Susan is looking good. I am loving The look of this brushbrush.jpgsusanbrush.jpg

My lips are always dry little gummy bears so I always have a lip balm close by. I have tried so many so why not try another? This one from Hempz is their Ultra Moisturizing Herbal lip balm. I love this. It smells, to me, like pineapple. hempzlip.jpg

To the glam bag!.. This is the cutest little glam bag I’ve received. Sanrio’s Gudetama is the face of July’s Ipsy bag. This little guy is looking like me when I have to go to my day job. I love the animation of this bag. frontbag.jpgeggbooty
